So I haven’t posted on here in a while - well that’s because I’ve been busy with a lot of other projects, and of course I’ve been busy making money on Facebook too
I’ve been advertising on Facebook since the very beginning, so I’d like to share a few very important points I’ve learned from experienced with you:
1) CTR is extremely important. Facebook traffic isn’t usually that targeted, so you need a lot of it to make up for this. And the only way you can make money is if you get your traffic dirt cheap. Your aim should be $0.05 clicks.
2) Make sure you split test like crazy. Once your initial ad is approved, make as many variations as you can - you need to split test to see which ad yields the highest CTR. And it doesnt end there, you must also split test different landing pages (that’s if you’re not using direct linking). This applies to any PPC network, so there is no reason why it shouldn’t apply to Facebook Ads.
3) Use redirects. Don’t link directly to the offer, use a redirect script. That way, you can change the script to a different offer should the first one go wrong. This is a very important rule, ALWAYS use redirects.
4) Test different offers. Some offers do better than others. Some just simply expire, or fail, and you may even fall victim to a shady advertiser. If you’re direct linking, then you will have to use a redirect as stated above, or you won’t be able to change your offer. In addition, using a meta refresh redirect will cloak your traffic, so the vendor won’t be able to complain about traffic quality.
These 4 points are key. Make sure you take note of these points when you’re advertising on Facebook!
